90-Day Challenge Winner
LaTasha Williams
Ran 200 miles & Lost 50 lbs.† using Vitality Pack
What was your motivation for joining the 90-Day Challenge?
My motivation for joining the Challenge was to help make running a more frequent habit, improve my cardio, continue to lose weight, and motivate others. I was a recovering work-a-holic that was temporarily imprisoned in an unhealthy lifestyle of working constantly, emotionally eating, and enjoying the extended comforts of my couch. Over-consumption, lack of a balanced diet, and lack of exercise led to me gaining nearly 50 pounds. This year I turned 40 years old and made health and fitness my priority. In doing so, I have committed to participating in 40 fitness events to include runs of varying distances, obstacle courses, and more. With this 40 for 40 fitness challenge, I plan to improve my fitness levels, lose weight, and encourage as many people along the way to make health and fitness a priority in their lives.
What was your 90-Day goal?
My 90-Day goal was to complete 200 miles in 90 days. In announcing my Challenge, I wound up getting several people (20 plus) to join me on the journey. I was impressed that so many people pushed themselves to the challenge and completed miles that they otherwise would not have done. By the end of the challenge, 4 of us had met or exceeded the original 200-mile goal. In fact, I made it to 236 miles!
How did your Health Pack help you to achieve your goal?
Taking the Vitality Pack regularly gave me the energy to complete my busy days and my workout. I was also having knee issues beforehand and supplemented my Vitality Pack with Salmon Oil Plus and have not had the pain in my knees. Additionally, I took the NeoLife 3-Day Detox a few times and it was AMAZING! I plateaued on my weight loss and the Detox helped jumpstart it again. I also had NeoLifeShake for breakfast about 3 times per week which reduced my caloric intake and gave me the nutrients I needed to keep going and recover quickly! Not to mention I was able to drop 12 lbs.† along the way.*
How has the Challenge positively impacted your life?
Completing 200 miles in 90 days helped me significantly. This large accomplishment, helped me to improve my running, pushed me to get out of my comfort zone, allowed me to increase my weekly mileage and workouts, and lastly; gave me the opportunity to continue on my weight loss journey to lose 50 lbs. Now, I am more confident, happier and simply feel better because I am healthier than when I started.
I also completed 6 of my 40 events. The events included: Peachtree Road Race 10k (July 4th); Miles for Meiers 5k run (Aug 13th); Rugged Maniac 3 Mile Obstacle Course Race (Aug 19th); Taste of Soul 5k (Sept 2nd); Peach Sizzler 10k (Sept 4th); and the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb (120 Stories) (Sept 9th). So many people ask about how I was able to recover and do so many events back to back all while completing the 200-mile challenge which made it easy to share NeoLife.
What is one tip you would give to someone new to the Challenge?
Do not look at the challenge as a one-time event. Rather look at the 90-Day Challenge as a life changing activity that makes healthy living a habit!
