Exercise and Be Happier!

Ever find it interesting that people who workout on a regular basis don’t seem to complain about being tired, or sluggish, but rather they tend to exude a positive and invigorating energy? Science tells us why!

The American Journal of Preventative Medicine published a study where 80 adults, between the ages of 20 to 45 and who were diagnosed with mild to moderate depression, were supervised to see if exercise made a difference in their treatment.

The findings were conclusive and revealed that aerobic exercise at a dose consistent with public health recommendations is an effective treatment for mild to moderate depression. Also interesting to note was the finding that a lower dose of exercise was comparable to a placebo effect.

So for anyone wanting to look better and feel better, make it a priority to hit the gym or take advantage of the summer weather by opting for an outdoor workout! And for even better results, set new goals to reach along the way.
